Sayulita Artist Cori Jacobs

I’m incredibly fortunate to have Cori Jacobs as a friend. For nearly two decades, her unwavering support has been a guiding light through the challenges and joys of expat life in Mexico, helping me find balance amid the ups and downs of life in San Pancho. Cori is a talented local artist based just down the coastline in Sayulita. Her vibrant artwork is a true celebration of color and delight. Originally from Oregon, she made the move to Mexico in 2002, where the lively culture and stunning landscapes have profoundly inspired her creativity. In 2009, she opened her Sayulita gallery, transforming it into a lively hub of artistic expression that draws in both locals and visitors alike.

Cori’s artwork showcases a diverse array of mediums, all centered around her love for color and joy, often embodying the spirit of Sayulita while incorporating indigenous themes. She skillfully navigates the challenges of balancing the freedom of creation with the practicalities of running a business (life as a Wilpreneur), allowing her artistic vision to thrive. With the recent reopening of her gallery for the season, art enthusiasts can once again explore her vibrant pieces in person. Additionally, her artwork is available online, making it accessible for those looking to bring a touch of her colorful world into their own homes.

Cori's work invites viewers to immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of colors and emotions, encouraging everyone to “add a little delight and more color” to their lives. I invite you to explore her gallery and experience the magic of her creations.
